  • Lynn Walters

    Lynn Walters

    Lynn is a co-founder of Pure and leads Pure Executive and Pure’s initiatives that support individuals and organisations to grow. She has considerable experience working with Boards across the East of England to recruit Executive and Non-Executive appointments and advising on Board succession planning.  A skilled facilitator, Lynn founded Best Employers Eastern Region, an employee engagement initiative, the Women’s Leadership Programme and Board Ready Talent Scheme, all aimed at building the pipeline of Board talent across the region.

  • Jodie Woodrow

    Jodie Woodrow

    Jodie started her recruitment career in 2000 and joined Pure in 2005 to launch their Suffolk operation. She managed the Ipswich office for over 4 years, specialising in interim and permanent senior qualified accountancy appointments to Director level prior to going on maternity leave. On her return in 2010 Jodie helped launch the Financial Services division for Pure, specialising in senior management posts across Ipswich, Essex and London. She is currently utilising her experience and relationships to develop the Ipswich office’s Executive and Senior Finance division, specialising in permanent appointments across Suffolk.


  • Tom Earl

    Tom Earl

    A Director of Pure, Tom joined Pure in April 2007 and has specialised in Finance and Executive Recruitment in the East of England for over 10 years.  Initially joining the team in Suffolk, Tom has been instrumental in establishing Pure in the Essex market. He is exceptionally well networked across the region and delivers senior management, senior finance and Board level appointments for a range of clients including SME’s, non-profit, family owned businesses and Blue Chip Corporates. Tom takes a lead role in the development of Pure Executive across the region.

  • Ian Walters

    Ian Walters

    A founding Director and CEO at Pure, Ian has worked in specialist recruitment since 1990. He has advised on a wide range of executive appointments including CFO  & FD, Partner appointments for Mid-Tier and Regional firms, and CEO/MDs for privately owned businesses. Ian’s breadth of business experience combined with an established network has helped many clients to make successful appointments.

  • Scott Woodrow

    Scott Woodrow

    Scott is a Director at Pure. He began his specialist recruitment career in 2001 and joined Pure in 2004. Having specialised in senior finance recruitment for a number of years, Scott now leads the Technology recruitment division and personally leads senior management and Board level Technology appointments in the Eastern of England. Having built strong relationships with businesses in the region he has advised on a number of Board appointments including CEO’s, CFO’s, and IT Directors.

  • David Culley

    David Culley

    David is a Director at Pure and joined in its early stages in 2003, starting in recruitment in 1999. As well as leading the Cambridge finance recruitment team, David is responsible for qualified interim appointments and works closely with Public Sector and Non-Profit clients.  David’s knowledge of the third sector and recruitment expertise allows him to work in partnership with his clients recruiting senior management and Board level professional appointments. David hosts the popular annual Charity Leaders Group each spring.

  • Caroline Batchelor

    Caroline Batchelor

    Caroline joined Pure in 2002 at the beginning of our journey. As Director, Caroline is co-manager of the Cambridge office as well as being responsible for recruiting HR professionals across Cambridgeshire, covering all levels and sectors. She has developed long-standing relationships with her ethical approach to recruitment and thorough understanding of how to deliver a quality service. With a qualification in coaching, Caroline is able to support her candidates to develop their own potential in terms of their career development.

  • Joseph O'Sullivan

    Joseph O'Sullivan

    Joseph has over 24 year’s specialist recruitment experience. He has built an excellent reputation in recruitment across Norfolk since moving to Norwich in 1987. Joseph joined Pure in March 2005 to specialise in the senior temporary, interim and contract accountancy markets. He has developed a detailed local network of clients and customers while working in Norfolk. 

  • Nick Culley

    Nick Culley

    Nick’s recruitment career began in 1998 and he now has over 20 years experience of working within the Cambridgeshire accountancy market. He joined Pure in 2004 has built up an extensive network of clients and candidates in the Cambridge area and has an in-depth knowledge of the Cambridge business community. Nick has taken the lead in running our Finance Leadership Programmes across the region and is responsible for senior and board level accountancy recruitment in the Cambridgeshire area.

  • Andy Dowsett

    Andy Dowsett

    Andy has twenty years’ experience in finance having worked in banking for fourteen years before joining a SME business to head its finance function, growing the business from £3m to £10m over a four year period. He is based in Essex and joined Pure in 2015 to grow its senior accountancy and finance presence and lead our Essex Finance Leadership Programme. With a strong network including professional advisors, clients and candidates, Andy recruits senior accountancy roles, including Finance Directors, for a variety of clients, across multiple sectors and industries.

  • Mark Colton

    Mark Colton

    Mark’s recruitment career began in 1998 and he now has in excess of 20 years’ experience of recruiting within the Cambridgeshire accountancy market. He has worked for a broad range of clients ranging from Plc’s though to owner managed businesses for both contingency and retained assignments. Mark’s remit at Pure is focussed on senior interim/contract recruitment and since joining, he has successfully recruited several interim Finance Director roles. 


  • Lucy Plumb

    Lucy Plumb

    Lucy joined Pure Executive in 2014 to support the Executive Recruitment team with research and administration of Executive and Board level appointments, as well as organising the leadership development initiatives and events. Lucy’s background prior to Pure Executive includes internal recruitment for a private health care organisation and as a Recruitment Consultant specialising in HR and Sales and Marketing roles across Suffolk and Norfolk.

Best Employers Eastern Region is a biennial survey measuring employee engagement, culture and development. Produced in partnership with eras Ltd, the survey identifies and promotes the best employers and informs participating businesses of employee-led insight for strategic decision.

The initiative includes: Engagement Survey empowering organisations with greater insight into their company’s culture and values, providing a platform to develop employee engagement. Awards highlight and reward best practice from innovative organisations in the East of England. Seminars enable us to share ideas, latest thinking and best practice, facilitating organisations to create the best working environments for their staff to thrive.
